Our clinical staff report high levels of satisfaction with their roles at <em>Central Florida Eye Specialists</em> because they get to play a vital role in helping save peoples sight each and every day. Though the days may be long and busy, we find the results to be well worth the effort. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>History taking </li>\n <li>Taking Patient Photos </li>\n <li>Preparing Injectables such as Botox, Kenalog, and Local Anesthesia. </li>\n <li>Vision and Visual field testing </li>\n <li>Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures </li>\n <li>Assisting in Cosmetic Procedures </li>\n <li>Scribing for patient exams alongside Physicians and Physician’s Associate </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Performed other duties as assigned:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Aid in organizing and attending seasonal Cosmetic Events  </li>\n <li>Self-Motivated and Efficient<strong>  </strong></li>\n <li>Ability to pay attention to detail </li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality </li>\n <li>Clear enthusiasm and interest <strong>is</strong> required </li>\n <li>Affable and outgoing personality with professional demeanor </li>\n <li>A true desire to learn </li>\n <li>The ability to communicate effectively to employees and patients </li>\n <li>Ability to make independent, accurate decisions regarding the best use of his/her time </li>\n <li>The ability to seek instruction in areas where he/she is not knowledgeable </li>\n <li>The ability to recognize inconsistencies in test results </li>\n <li>The ability to seek advice from others when accuracy is uncertain, and findings are inconsistent </li>\n <li>An attitude that reflects a desire to go beyond the minimum required duties </li>\n <li>Understanding that dependent upon need there may be instances where he/she is asked to travel to satellite offices </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical work experience NOT required, but it can increase your starting rate </li>\n <li>Demonstrated effectiveness showing courtesy, diligence, integrity, and teamwork </li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills (effective listening, clear communication, effective customer problem resolution, warm demeanor) </li>\n <li>Able to work long and irregular hours, and travel to Deland, Orange City, and Lake Mary based on clinic needs </li>\n <li>Ability to master Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic terminology </li>\n <li>Required to have reliable transportation between local clinics during the workday (mileage is reimbursed) </li>\n <li>High School Graduate </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em><strong>Preferred</strong></em><strong> Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in a <strong>Scribing,</strong> Optometry/Ophthalmology and/or <strong>Oculoplastics </strong></li>\n <li><strong>Surgical Assisting or MA certification </strong></li>\n <li>Bilingual in Spanish </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to view patient images and operate computer devices </li>\n <li>Ability to converse with patients - speaking and hearing </li>\n <li>Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse </li>\n <li>Near constant standing and walking </li>\n <li>Manual dexterity to operate ophthalmic equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Position Details:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Schedule varies depending on assigned role and/or assigned physician </li>\n <li>Monday to Friday schedule </li>\n <li>Uniform/Scrub allowance of $200 </li>\n <li>Some job titles that usually have relevant experience for this position: medical assistant, optometric technician, ophthalmic technician, ophthalmic scribe, certified nurses assistant </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Benefits</h2>\n<p>We offer a competitive benefits package to our employees:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical</li>\n <li>Dental</li>\n <li>Vision</li>\n <li>401k w/ Match</li>\n <li>HSA/FSA</li>\n <li>Telemedicine</li>\n <li>Generous PTO Package</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We also offer the following benefits for FREE:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Employee Discounts and Perks</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Group Life/AD&D </li>\n <li>Short Term Disability Insurance </li>\n <li>Long Term Disability Insurance </li>\n</ul>\n<p>EyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
