Business Development Manager Overview: VIOTAS is currently looking for a Business Development Manager. About VIOTAS: Established in Limerick, Ireland in 2013, VIOTAS set about designing and delivering new innovations to address the challenges posed by increased renewable generation in electrical grids: How can a grid be balanced when a large amount of electricity is coming from unpredictable renewable sources that are difficult to forecast and that change the fundamental principles of how grids operate? In response, VIOTAS developed proprietary technologies that place electricity customers at the core of the solution. By managing their electricity consumption and onsite generation in real-time, VIOTAS help balance the wider electricity grid. The company then aggregates participating customers to form Virtual Power Plants which are traded in the electricity market, competing against conventional fossil fuel power stations. This approach not only generates significant revenue for participating customers but also contributes to reducing carbon emissions. With a global expansion strategy, VIOTAS, currently with over 110 staff, operates in Ireland, Poland, USA and Australia. We are a highly motivated team that are pushing boundaries to achieve success. We are looking for a driven person who is searching for the same. Key Responsibilities: Lead generation and prospecting. Identifying and creating new business opportunities with potential customers. Driving sales through industry partners and participating resellers. Carrying out preliminary assessment of sites for their Demand Response potential. Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals Negotiating and agreeing sales contracts. Closing sales and achieving sales targets. Accurately reporting on sales progress. Participating in seminars, trade shows and other suitable marketing opportunities. Essential Requirements: Motivated to lead change and inspire progress toward a greener, more sustainable world. A demonstratable history of sales success. 10+ years’ sales experience of selling complex solutions to B2B customers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills – demonstrable relationship-building experience amongst a range of stakeholders. Strong quantitative and analytical capability, both technical and commercial. Professionalism – articulate, innovative and client-service orientated. Self-motivated individual with integrity and the ability to be office-based and to work remotely. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ambition to develop as a market-leading sales professional. High level of proficiency with Microsoft products (Excel, Power Point etc.) Ready to use your sales expertise to drive real change?
