They work with hand/power tools, manage materials, ensure safety, and often work as part of a crew.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This position is where we often find and train future leaders for our company.</span></p>\n<p>We will train and teach you the necessary skills to help your chances for promotions and raises.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Road Maintenance: Patching potholes, sealing cracks, applying asphalt/gravel, sweeping, and cleaning roads.</li>\n<li> Equipment Operation: Safely operating trucks, loaders, backhoes, rollers, pavers, and/or skid loaders.</li>\n<li> Site Upkeep: Managing traffic control (flagging, barricades).</li>\n<li> Safety &amp; Equipment: Performing safety checks, basic vehicle maintenance, and adhering to safety procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Skills &amp; Attributes</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in extreme weather.</li>\n<li>Teamwork: Effective communication and ability to work well with others.</li>\n<li>Safety Focus: Following strict safety protocols and regulations.</li>\n<li>Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.</li>\n<li>Versatility: Willingness to perform a wide variety of manual and skilled tasks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements and Education</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over 18 years of age</li>\n<li>Eligible to work in the United States</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation</li>\n<li>Complete and pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen and physical</li>\n<li>High school education or GED equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>Thank you for your interest in applying with one of the Bettis Companies.
