    "description": "<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Security Officer</span></p>\n<p><span>Department:  </span>Facilities</p>\n<p><span>Exempt or Non-Exempt:  </span>Full Time, Non-Exempt</p>\n<p><span>Reports to:  </span>Campus Safety Manager</p>\n<p><span>Direct Supervisor of:  </span>N/A</p>\n<p><span>Tier:  </span>Implementation</p>\n<p><span>Work Schedule:  </span>Varies<br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our vision: leading all generations to find and follow Jesus for the flourishing of our city and beyond<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION</span></p>\n<p>The vision of Highland Park Presbyterian Church is to lead all generations to become transformed followers of Jesus, for the flourishing of our city and beyond.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Facility</span> Department’s Safety Team seeks to advance that vision by maintaining a secure and safe Campus environment with comprehensive all-risk safety planning;  emergency response guides; AED availability and First Aid responsiveness; timely weather/safety/security communications with staff, volunteers, contractors, partners, and stakeholders; trained ministry-oriented professional security staff; and staff/volunteer training all of which facilitates worship, service, fellowship, missions and the HP Pres associated schools.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">DESIRED RESULTS/IMPACT OF THIS POSITION</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stakeholders requesting security staff at events feel fully supported</li>\n<li>Program leaders are expertly advised regarding physical security planning/implementation</li>\n<li>Meeting participants are consistently offering favorable feedback on security presence</li>\n<li>Consistent positive feedback from staff, congregation, and peers on delivery of services</li>\n<li>Reliable and responsive security presence on-site during business, programming hours and events</li>\n<li>A safety team that expertly balances a warm welcome to those on our campus while maintaining a keen eye on all potential safety and security risks</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Campus security coverage during scheduled services, programming, events and open hours</li>\n<li>Maintaining appropriate training levels and licensing</li>\n<li>Developing and maintaining healthy working relationships with ministries and programs</li>\n<li>Creating a safe, accommodating, and friendly Campus environment</li>\n<li>Monitors all upcoming Campus activities/events and schedule changes through the Hub; adjusting security plans in coordination with the Campus Security Manager</li>\n<li>Communicative, keeping Facilities and Safety Team leadership informed as needed</li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of Emergency Response Guide procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILL REQUIREMENTS</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: High School graduate; BA/BS preferred</li>\n<li>PSB Lv.3 or Lv.4 Commission Required</li>\n<li>Experience: Two-five years security; police; military</li>\n<li>Knowledge and Skills: computer fluent; two-way radio; current Texas DPS PSB Level IV-PPO license or qualified to obtain Level IV-PPO license; personable with friendly aspect</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">WORKING CONDITIONS AND ABILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Abilities: Standing two hours; walking one hour repeatedly; lifting 50 lbs; bending; stooping; physically active; excellent vision; fluent English spoken &amp; written</li>\n<li>Ability to maintain composure under pressure</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">WORKPLACE EXPECTATIONS</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loves Jesus, the people of HP Pres, the city of Dallas and the world</li>\n<li>Affirms and supports ECO (our denomination) <a href=\"https://www.eco-pres.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/eco_constitution_online6.14.19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Essential Tenets</a></li>\n<li>Acts as an advocate of the culture and vision of HP Pres</li>\n<li>Commits to and exhibits our Team Culture Values:\n<ul>\n<li>Deeply abiding in Jesus</li>\n<li>We &gt; Me</li>\n<li>Defiant joy in the trenches of ministry</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>",
