As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Right now we are looking for an <strong>Occupational Therapist for Hand Therapy.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status:</strong> Casual<strong>Hours of Work: </strong>Available to work rotating shifts (Monday to Friday)<strong>Location:</strong> Primary assignment is at Wilson site<strong>Labour Group: </strong>OPSEU 590<strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Allied Health Services<strong>Hourly Rate: </strong> $40.36 - $56.30 per hour</p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Providing Occupational Therapy services to the Outpatient Hand Clinic, including both globally funded and WSIB patients.</li>\n <li>Provide appropriate assessment and treatment for referred patients.</li>\n <li>Recording patient assessment, progress and discharge status.</li>\n <li>Recording workload measurement data.</li>\n <li>Work as a member of the health care team regarding services provided.</li>\n <li>Clinical supervisor of Rehabilitation Assistants.</li>\n <li>Clinical supervisor of students, including Occupational Therapist and/or OTA/PTA students.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.</li>\n <li>Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario required.</li>\n <li>Membership in CAOT preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hand therapy and splinting in an acute care setting.</li>\n <li>Experience treating acute plastic and orthopedic hand conditions.</li>\n <li>Experience with WSIB patients and the WSIB reporting/billing system preferred.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of tasks and work efficiently.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to act as a valuable part of an interdisciplinary team.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, creativity and resourcefulness.</li>\n <li>Availability and flexibility to provide coverage during the week day is required.</li>\n <li><p>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.</p></li>\n <li>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
