    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>This lead position is within Sargent & Lundy's Consulting Group and will be responsible for the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage different consulting engagements related to power system studies for transmission interconnection projects, including external coordination with clients and internal coordination</li>\n <li>Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers performing power system modeling and analysis</li>\n <li>Participate in business development including identification of new work, preparation of proposals, provide input project scope, approach, schedule, and budget</li>\n <li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technology and applications of new technologies</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and sufficient industry experience is considered in lieu of an advanced degree</li>\n <li>A minimum of 12 years relevant engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience in leading a team of power systems engineers</li>\n <li>Experience in load flow and contingency analysis to identify transmission thermal and voltage constraints and to identify transfer capability limits</li>\n <li>Experience in electromagnetic transient analysis using PSCAD</li>\n <li>Experience using transmission planning software for load flow modeling, contingency analysis, and stability analysis using PSS/E, PSLF, TARA </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued but not required skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering is preferred</li>\n <li>Experience in stability analysis to identify critical clearing times, identify voltage constraints and analyze power system damping</li>\n <li>Experience in short circuit analysis and using software programs CAPE or ASPEN</li>\n <li>Knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs, such as: PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ISO-NE</li>\n <li>Experience in Python, Java Script, or other scripting languages</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
