If so, the Crystal Lake Park District is looking for enthusiastic, responsible, and motivated individuals to join our team as seasonal </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Head Lifeguard</span></span><span>!</span></p>\n<p><span>As a Head Lifeguard, you'll do more than watch the water—you'll help lead a team of lifeguards, support beach operations, respond to emergencies, and create a safe, welcoming experience for thousands of beach visitors throughout the summer.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Leadership &amp; Supervision</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Lead and support lifeguard staff during daily operations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist Beach Managers with overseeing beach activities, equipment, and facility conditions.</span></li>\n<li><span>Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and excellent customer service.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assist with staff trainings, in-services, and daily operational needs.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Safety &amp; Emergency Response</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Monitor swimming areas and perform preventative lifeguarding using the 10/20 scanning method.</span></li>\n<li><span>Respond to aquatic emergencies and perform rescues according to Starguard and Park District standards.</span></li>\n<li><span>Administer first aid, CPR, and AED care when necessary.</span></li>\n<li><span>Identify and address safety concerns, hazards, and rule violations promptly and professionally.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Customer Service</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Provide a positive, friendly, and welcoming experience for all beach patrons.</span></li>\n<li><span>Enforce beach rules with tact, consistency, and professionalism.</span></li>\n<li><span>Serve as a positive representative of the Crystal Lake Park District.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Facility Care</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive beach environment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform light maintenance and housekeeping tasks as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Report facility concerns and work collaboratively with management to resolve issues.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Must be </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>at least 16 years old</span></span><span>.</span></li>\n<li><span>Current certifications in:</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Starguard Elite Lifeguard Certification with Waterfront</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span>Ability to pass Head Lifeguard skills and knowledge assessments.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to pass the Guard Vision Screening Test.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong knowledge of lifeguarding, rescue techniques, and aquatic safety practices.</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent communication and customer service skills.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Work Schedule</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Approximately <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">25</span></span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>–40 hours per week</span></span><span>, depending on weather and attendance. The season runs from May 12-September 1, 2026.  </span></li>\n<li><span>Additional hours may be available as a Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be available to work </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>weekends, holidays, and evenings</span></span><span> throughout the summer season.
