Description
All About You
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Test Lab Technician to perform quality testing of Production products as required. Conduct engineering developmental and quality testing on new and existing battery products and associated electrical and electronic components. Perform testing, failure analysis, and repair of aircraft battery products per FAA regulations. Implement, track, document and report test data with respect to current AS9100 and other quality standards. Provide direct support to manufacturing in the development of new product lines. Contribute to the improvement of engineering and production opportunities, to reduce costs and improve safe working conditions.
Requirements
High school diploma plus two years of specialized vocational school training in electrical, electronics, or related technical field equivalent
Minimum of 1 years of experience in electrical testing or a similar roleStrong knowledge of electrical and/or electronic test lab environment
Minimum of 1 year of experience in battery system and component testing, battery chargers and ancillary devices
Proficient with computers, software, and programming of automotive test equipment
Mechanically inclined with the ability to assemble specialized test fixtures for qualification and acceptance testing of batteries and electrical equipment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in completing tasksAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
Familiarity with basic chemistry
Knowledge of programming automated test systems (Digatron, Bitorde, Enechron)
Knowledge of electrical, chemical, and mechanical requirements for testing battery systems with primary emphasis on nickel cadmium, vented and maintenance free assemblies
Solid understanding of requirements for SA9100, FAA repair station regulations, and safety issues involved with handling potassium hydroxide, high powered currents, and heavy equipment
Responsibilities
Perform electrical tests on battery products and associated electrical/electronic components and record test data accurately
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems
Calibrate and maintain test equipment and tools
Collaborate with engineers to develop and improve test procedures
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
Provide technical support to other teams within the organization
Assist in the design and implementation of new test setups and systems
Sustain basic Saft Excellent Systems (SES) concepts as a foundation to increase team activities
Lead teams for continuous improvement and promote regular team meetings by using the SES tools
Provide and be responsible for support of product engineering as defined by TR's and EFT's which include: test setup, data collection and summary of test data
