    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Medical Simulators Instructor/Operator</span></span><span> </span></span></p>\n<p><span><span>Location: </span></span><span><span>Fort Bragg, NC</span></span></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>**</span><span>Please note that this position is contingent upon award**</span><span> </span></span></em><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Description</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The Instructor/Operator (I/O) role provides training services for the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC), which plans and carries out instruction and validation </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> accepted medical practices and </span><span>established</span><span> military medical and operational doctrine. The I/O will be capable of instructing a mixed population of Soldiers, both inexperienced and seasoned.  The training may be conducted in a classroom or a field training/evaluation environment.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The I/O will </span><span>utilize</span><span> approved simulation scenarios included in the course POI or as approved by US Army </span><span>MEDCoE</span><span> and ensure that the medical simulation scenarios are designed to be as realistic as possible. Therefore, he/she will utilize moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatrical special effects to simulate the injuries and environment that the military medic or first responder may confront during various operational echelons and or theatres.  Moreover, he/she will assess the students’ critical thinking skills and psychomotor skills based on their ability to perform under these high-fidelity situations.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The I/O will be capable of instructing, </span><span>demonstrating</span><span> skills and testing Soldiers in all areas of the 68W Sustainment, EMT levels, as well as CLS courses. </span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Responsibilities:</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>D</span><span>e</span><span>v</span><span>e</span><span>l</span><span>op, </span><span>modify</span><span>, and </span><span>maintain</span><span> Training Support Packages (TSPs), lesson plans, and training materials as </span><span>required</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Support training event planning, execution, evaluation, and preparation of </span><span>After Action</span><span> Reviews (AARs) and related documentations.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Instruct and support training on new battlefield medical procedures, techniques, and equipment as directed by the Government.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience </span><span>utilizing</span><span> medical simulation systems, virtual training </span><span>platforms</span><span>, and other advanced learning methodologies.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensure that training courses address all levels of students.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Capable of instructing, </span><span>demonstrating</span><span> skills and testing Soldiers in all areas of the 68W Sustainment, EMT, and NREMT Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP) level in support of EMT Sustainment Course, as well as CLS courses. I/O must meet the </span><span>minimum</span><span> Instructor qualifications for course they instruct.   </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Comfortable instructing a mixed population of Soldiers, both inexperienced and seasoned, in class sizes not to exceed the instructor /student ratios as directed by the AMEDDC&amp;S.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work with the training unit to </span><span>assist</span><span> the unit in preparing for training to include equipment use, preparation and clean up. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Possess presentation skills to train and educate students/ employees on technical material and applications.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Remain informed of and must </span><span>maintain</span><span> </span><span>proficiency</span><span> with applicable company products.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to take inventory and manage consumable items (skins, synthetic blood, etc.) along with the Preventive Maintenance Checks &amp; Services (PMCS) Kits.  </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Perform PMCS (daily maintenance) on all equipment.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintain </span><span>high level</span><span> of confidentiality </span><span>regarding</span><span> student/ employee information.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Work independently and as part of a team.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span><span> </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>I/O shall be current in and </span><span>maintain</span><span> National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) with a level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>I/O shall </span><span>comply with</span><span> one of the following requirements: </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Advanced Leader Course (ALC) graduate).</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A former Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman E-6 or above. </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>A former Air Force 4NOX1, or an Aerospace Medical Service (4NOX1) E-6 or above.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Currently</span><span> </span><span>licensed as a</span><span> Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant or Physician.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Must </span><span>maintain</span><span> Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Must complete TC 8-800 (all tables) or the most current TC3 instructor course offered by the Army Medical Department (AMEDD).  I/O must complete TC 8-800 skills validation annually.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>I/O must </span><span>possess</span><span> comprehension skills for understanding the course material and be able to apply knowledge to the presentations.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>I/O must be familiar with computers and </span><span>possess</span><span> basic Microsoft Office suite skills.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Knowledge of staff positions </span><span>required</span><span> to </span><span>establish</span><span> and operate program site codes, training centers, etc.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and be eligible to obtain a Contractor CAC.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES AND OTHER CONTRIBUTIONS:</span><span> </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Combat experience is preferred, especially in the medical specialties of: 68W, 18D, NEC 8404, or 4NOX1</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Current provider and/or instructor level certification in, but not limited to: PALS, ALS, ACLS, PHTLS, and ITLS.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Prior experience in instructing and education </span><span>methodology</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Communication skills to read, write, and follow local training procedures.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Interpersonal skills for instructing all levels of students and working in a team.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability and desire to actively pursue learning opportunities to learn the latest skills and techniques in the emergency medical field.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>JOB CONTEXT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</span><span> </span></span></p>\n<p><span><span>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
