The project is located north of the Hague.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job purpose</span></p>\n<p>The Project Director leads and oversees project teams on large-scale construction projects. </p>\n<p>A key aspect of role involves taking full ownership and accountability for:    <br>-    end-to-end tendering process<br>-    project planning &amp; execution (in line with programme)<br>-    achievement of commercial objectives<br>-    delivery of SHEQ targets <br>-    leading all aspects of people management, from a team, sub-contractor, GC (if applicable) and client perspective<br>-    and developing future opportunities by enhancing our reputation for what we do, and how we do it.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pre-Construction:</span></p>\n<p>•    Lead Tender Team and Competitive Submissions: Direct the bidding process and craft winning proposals based on thorough analyses and innovative strategies.<br>•    Program, Documents, and Meetings: Develop comprehensive project plans, and schedule start-up meetings<br>•    Procurement Strategy and Risk Management: Design strategies for supplier selection and comprehensive risk management frameworks.<br>•     Stakeholder Liaison and Resource Planning: Maintain continuous communication with all stakeholders and effectively manage resource allocation.<br>•    Customer Relationships: Build and maintain customer relationships.<br>•    Supply Chain relationships: Monitor supply chain relationships through appropriate channels</p>\n<p>Construction:</p>\n<p>•    Ensure implementation of Safety First Guiding Principles <br>•    Start-Up Meetings and Contract Commencement: Facilitate initial meetings to kick off project activities and ensure all teams are prepared for execution.<br>•    Compliance and Supplier Selection: Monitor compliance with project standards and local regulations and perform thorough vetting of all suppliers.<br>•    Resource Management and Preliminary Tasks: Oversee resource distribution and manage preliminary site activities. Develop teams through coaching and mentoring.<br>•    Progress Monitoring and Team Leadership: Continuously track project progress and lead the project team to adapt to challenges proactively.<br>•    Financial Oversight and Reporting: Maintain strict control over project finances and compile detailed reports for stakeholder review.<br>•    Issue Management and Certificate Procurement: Strategically address project issues and secure necessary certifications.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Post-Construction:</span></p>\n<p>•    Aftercare Service and Commissioning Adjustments: Provide comprehensive post-project support and make necessary adjustments during the commissioning phase.<br>•    Financial Support and Documentation: Assist with financial reconciliations and ensure all project documentation is complete and accessible.<br>•    Contractual Safeguards, Defect Resolution, and Client Relations: Implement contractual protections, resolve any lingering defects, and maintain robust client engagements.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications, Knowledge &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications:<br>•    Required: 10+ years' experience in the construction industry; Degree in Construction Management or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).<br>•    Skills: Demonstrated expertise in managing large construction projects, with strong capabilities in CVR, PEP, and Contract Management.<br>•    Certifications: Relevant safety certifications <br>•    Leadership and Communication: Exceptional leadership and communication skills are crucial, with a proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.<br>•    IT Proficiency: Advanced skills in project management software and IT tools necessary for efficient project management.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge &amp; Experience:</span><br>•    Design procurement<br>•    Construction methods and best practice, technologies and materials<br>•    Measurement and Valuation<br>•    Commercial &amp; Financial Management<br>•    Safety, Health and Quality Policies and Procedures <br>•    Employee Relations<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We Offer:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>In addition to a competitive salary, Ardmac offers a wide range of employee benefits, including generous annual leave, professional development opportunities, inclusive working culture built on safety, respect and continuous improvement.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>If you are interested and have relevant experience, the Ardmac team will be glad to review your application.</p>",
