    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>We’re seeking a Mid‑to‑Senior Level Server / Virtualization Engineer to join a long‑standing client environment and hit the ground running. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands‑on infrastructure work, brings deep VMware and vCenter expertise, and enjoys being a trusted technical backbone for an on‑site team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This will be a 3 month contract opportunity with the potential for permanent hire. This will be onsite in Northbrook, IL with the potential to work remotely on Fridays.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Own and support the VMware virtual environment, with heavy hands‑on work in vCenter</li>\n <li>Build, configure, and maintain virtual machines</li>\n <li>Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy</li>\n <li>Create and manage service accounts, perform registry updates, and support system configurations</li>\n <li>Work with backup and recovery solutions, including Veeam</li>\n <li>Provide general server and virtualization support, with light exposure to storage environments</li>\n <li>Partner with Sentinel and internal stakeholders on ongoing infrastructure projects</li>\n <li>Serve as a steady, experienced presence for the environment with minimal oversight</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong, real‑world experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter) is required</li>\n <li>Proven background as a server engineer in enterprise environments</li>\n <li>Solid experience with Windows Server, AD, and GPOs</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Veeam or similar backup solutions</li>\n <li>Some storage exposure (SANs, arrays, or similar) is helpful</li>\n <li>Linux experience is a plus, but not required</li>\n <li>Comfortable working fully onsite (remote Fridays may be an option)</li>\n <li>Able to step into an environment and contribute immediately</li>\n <li>Professional, reliable, and confident working independently</li>\n <li>No travel required</li>\n <li>Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship </li>\n <li>Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We focus on candidates that display our “ACE” factor – Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm to deliver quality solutions with exceptional customer service.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation Range:  </strong></p>\n<p>$70-85/hr</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What you get:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>We offer weekly competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, 401K and more.</strong></p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>MOTIVATED…..make IT happen!</strong></p>\n<p>      </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Sentinel Technologies, Inc. has been rated a top workplace every year since 2012!</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About Us:       </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Sentinel</strong> delivers solutions that can efficiently address a range of IT needs – from security, to communications, to systems & networks, to software applications, to cloud and managed services; all of which include our staffing solutions for our clients.
