As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Right now we are looking for a<strong> Registered Nurse </strong>to work with our <strong>Emergency</strong><strong> </strong><strong>Department </strong>and we offer a unique training opportunity to Registered Nurses with Acute experience. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status:</strong> Temporary Full-time<strong>Duration:</strong> August 2027<strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Emergency<strong></strong><strong>Hiring Salary Range:</strong> $41.15 - $58.98</p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Hennick Humber Hospital– Wilson Site<strong>Hours of work: </strong>Must be available to work rotating 12 hour shifts, Days/Nights and Weekend Rotation.<strong>Union:  </strong>ONA</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within an acute care hospital Emergency Department.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing</li>\n <li>Minimum 3-6 months medical/ surgical experience required; 6-8 weeks training provided</li>\n <li>Current Emergency experience preferred; ICU experience is an asset</li>\n <li>BCLS certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification</li>\n <li>Coronary Care I & II certificates or the equivalent is preferred or completed within 1 year of your start date</li>\n <li>ACLS course upon hire or completed within six months of your start date required. Course available through Humber River Health</li>\n <li>TNCC, PALS or ENPC courses upon hire or completed within 1 year of your start date required. </li>\n <li>Excellent physical assessment skills</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of staff, patients and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds</li>\n <li>Good patient/family teaching skills</li>\n <li>Excellent critical thinking skills, with an ability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively/collaboratively in a team environment</li>\n <li>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required</li>\n <li>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
