Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location: Residential Program, Brooklyn
Schedule: Full-Time shifts (7am-3pm, 3-11pm and 11pm-9am) and Part-Time shifts (minimum 22 hrs/week)

✅ What You’ll Do
Provide hands-on support for daily living, including helping with meals, dressing, and personal care.
Teach important life skills such as cooking, shopping, and other household tasks.
Administer medication, assist with health routines (paid training included!)
Accompany individuals to medical appointments,
Encourage social connections, community engagement, and participation in fun activities.
Document your work and communicate regularly with your team
Handle challenges with respect, sensitivity, patience
Qualifications
🎓 What You Need to Get Started:
High School Diploma or GED
A valid NYS driver’s license
Willingness to complete and become certified in:
AMAP (meds)
CPR/First Aid
SCIP-R (crisis management)
A big heart, clear communication skills, and a can-do attitude!
⭐ Bonus Points If You Have:
1+ year working with people with developmental disabilities
Experience in residential or health-related settings
Strong teamwork and documentation skills
👟 Physical & Work Environment:
This is a hands-on role—you’re not just watching, you’re doing
You'll need to be comfortable with lifting, physical care, and active days
Morning (7am-3pm), late afternoon (3-11pm) and overnight shifts available
Shifts may also include weekends and holidays
You have a strong sense of responsibility and reliability: you care about the people that you serve and stay until the next team member arrives
