You are responsible for keeping the campground&rsquo;s buildings, amenities, infrastructure, and grounds operating smoothly and safely throughout the season.</p><p>This is more than a maintenance job&mdash;it&rsquo;s a highly visible, guest-facing role that blends technical skill with hospitality. You&rsquo;ll work closely with the General Manager, Grounds and Maintenance Manager, Front Desk, and Housekeeping teams to ensure our property remains in top condition while delivering a positive guest experience.</p><p>Spacious Skies operates as a collective. While this role is based at one campground, opportunities may arise to support sister properties with projects or operational needs.</p><p><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do</strong></p><p><strong>Campground Maintenance &amp; Groundskeeping</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform routine building, amenity, and infrastructure maintenance.</li><li>Execute electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and minor mechanical repairs.</li><li>Safely operate groundskeeping and heavy equipment including mowers, tractors, chainsaws, and other machinery.</li><li>Maintain clean and organized public areas, bathhouses, lodging units, and common spaces.</li><li>Perform site clean-up after check-outs and assist with seasonal upkeep projects.</li><li>Assist with honey-wagon (vacuum truck) duties as scheduled or needed.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues and determine effective repair or replacement solutions.</li><li>Maintain organized inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.</li></ul><p><strong>Guest Support &amp; Team Collaboration</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Respond to guest maintenance needs promptly and professionally.</li><li>Provide courteous, welcoming interactions while serving guests onsite.</li><li>Partner with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and leadership to resolve operational issues.</li><li>Support special projects and campground improvement initiatives.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and campground policies.</li></ul><p><strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience in grounds, facility, or property maintenance (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Prior campground, property, or mobile home community experience preferred.</li><li>Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, small engine repair, or landscaping preferred.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and equipment repair.</li><li>Ability to safely operate trucks, tractors, and other motorized vehicles.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license required.</li><li>Ability to lift 50 or more pounds regularly.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.</li><li>A team player who is willing to assist others and continue learning new skills.</li></ul><p>You should be someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and approaches each day with a &ldquo;see it, solve it, fix it&rdquo; mindset.</p><p><strong>Working Conditions &amp; Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>Work takes place across all areas of the campground, both indoors and outdoors.</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, windy, or humid conditions.</li><li>Extensive walking or driving across the campground required.</li><li>Frequent standing, bending, stretching, reaching, and lifting.</li><li>Ability to carry and safely use a variety of tools and equipment.</li><li>Ability to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.</li><li>Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.</li></ul><p>This is an active, physical role that requires stamina, safety awareness, and attention to detail.</p><p><strong>Why You&rsquo;ll Love Working Here</strong></p><p>At Spacious Skies, we&rsquo;re more than a workplace, we celebrate wins, pitch in for each other, and show up every day with a &ldquo;yes we can&rdquo; spirit.</p><p>As a Maintenance Associate, you&rsquo;ll enjoy hands-on work, variety in your daily responsibilities, and the satisfaction of seeing the immediate impact of your work on guest comfort and safety.
