As a Special Service District, GVRD operates as a separate government agency from the City of Vallejo. GVRD manages 407 acres of public park space including 20 neighborhood parks, 10 community parks, 6 special purpose parks, and Olympic-size swimming pool and 4 community centers.  GVRD maintains over 1,000 acres of public land. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>GVRD is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. With 30 plus full time and approximately 155 part-time and seasonal employees, GVRD operates on a 2025-2026 fiscal year budget of $12.969 million for general fund operations and Measure K funding amounting to $2.2 million.  The Measure K funding is being utilized to purchase necessary equipment, improve parks, facilities.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 28px; font-weight: bold\">SPORTS COACH/FACILITY ATTENDANT RECREATION LEADER </span><br><br>Class Specifications are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed by employees in the <br>class. Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">DEFINITION</span></p>\n<p>To perform a variety of tasks and duties, in support of GVRD and GVRD Sports Gym; to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment to the guests; to lead in recreation activities and special events.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED</span><br>Receives immediate supervision from higher level staff, Recreation Coordinator, Assistant Recreation Coordinator, Sr. Recreation Leader. </p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL AND MARGINAL FUNCTION STATEMENTS</span>-Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect and record daily entrance fees and concession fees; record payments using the CivicRec Software; issue receipts.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Register the public for Sports Programs.<br></li>\n<li>Resolve conflicts among guests; respond to the publics concerns and/or issues. </li>\n<li>Monitor activities within the Sports Gym and/or outside the Sports Gym.</li>\n<li>Provide information to the public.</li>\n<li>Report need for inventory of equipment and supplies to the Recreation Coordinator. </li>\n<li>Perform first aid as necessary.</li>\n<li>Report directly any safety concerns and/or conflicts to the Recreation Coordinator.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Marginal Functions:</span><br>1. Assist in the janitorial duties and upkeep of the Sports Gym.<br>2.
