This position also oversees site preparation and construction-related tasks, including grading of parking lots and roadways using specialized heavy equipment. Responsibilities include demolition of park amenities such as playgrounds and other structures; hauling of materials including, but not limited to, crush and run, infield mix, sand, and heavy equipment; and vegetative management using a bush hog. May oversee volunteers, temporary or contract workers as needed.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Supervision Received:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: </strong><i>These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.</i></p><ul><li>Maintains turf areas of athletic fields or assigned areas; mowing, sodding, edging, overseeding, weed control, and irrigation.</li><li>Maintains infield surface; lip work, grading, conditioning, dragging, and raking.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains mounds and plate areas: minor sodding, building, grading, conditioning, and maintaining.</li><li>Maintains the warning track; grading, dragging, and weed control.</li><li>Performs preventative maintenance during inclement weather; tarping and field conditioning.</li><li>Maintains batting practice and game setup; screens, cages, turf armor, chalking, dragging, and irrigating.</li><li>Works directly with coaching staff for scheduling of workouts, etc.</li><li>Follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned task.</li><li>May oversee volunteers, temporary, or contract workers as needed.</li><li>May perform other duties as assigned.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>The above statements reflect the general duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job and should not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements of the position.
