Description

Overview Element has an opening for a Facility Supervisor at its Extractables & Leachables testing Center of Excellence in Bend, Oregon . This position operates within a cGMP-regulated (FDA) laboratory environment under the direction of the General Manager and is responsible for supporting facility operations that enable compliant, reliable, and efficient laboratory testing services. The role focuses on oversight of facility infrastructure, coordination of facility-related projects, management of laboratory supply receiving processes, and support of metrology services in alignment with cGMP requirements and site operational needs. *ONLY APPLICANTS THAT SUBMIT A COVER LETTER WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE* Site Status: On-Site Local Page: EMT Bend OR Responsibilities Proactively manage cGMP equipment (e.g., incubators, fume hoods) and facility systems (e.g., DI water, HVAC, temperature monitoring) under a Quality Management System (QMS) including preventive maintenance, qualification and calibration activities as required by procedures for cGMP compliance; respond to security, temperature and power alarms. Adhere to Facility Control QMS requirements including security, pest control, general building maintenance functions, lead building infrastructure projects and perform minor/major building repairs utilizing project plans and following change management processes. Oversee Supply Receiving process to maintain laboratory supplies. Collaborate with Safety Leader and site leadership to maintain safe working environment for employees. Oversee IT infrastructure and collaborate/coordinate with local and corporate IT service providers. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work within the laboratory QMS including creating, revising and reviewing controlled procedures for the continuous improvement of the QM Skills / Qualifications Excellent and professional communication skills include: ability to collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders, follow-up and provide updates on active facility projects, build strong relationships, and engage in respectful dialogue in challenging circumstances Strong technical, mechanical (especially HVAC), IT and mathematical competencies Able to balance competing priorities/needs Accountable for assigned tasks and responsibilities; able to drive projects through to completion; short- and long-term project planning skills essential Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized; flexible and adaptable Competent skills in Microsoft Suite software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams and ERP systems such as D365; comfortable working with a variety of software platforms High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred Three to six years relevant experience required; experience in cGMP laboratory environment preferred #LI-TK1 Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
