The Component Rebuild Technician will be responsible for disassembling and assembling hydraulic cylinders for rebuild or repair. This is a union position. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Benefits include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Time Off + 8 company paid holidays</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental and Vision insurance options for Employee and Family </li>\n <li>Disability & Life Insurance Packages</li>\n <li>Competitive Retirement Plan </li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement – available to FT employees with 1 year+ of service</li>\n <li>Additional supplemental offerings and discount programs</li>\n <li>Employee Referral Program</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Removes, disassembles, assembles, and installs components and parts.</li>\n <li>Identify the problem and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps.</li>\n <li>Determines reusability of parts in accordance with published Caterpillar reusability guidelines.</li>\n <li>Orders replacement parts ensuring that parts ordered are correct and complete at time of order.</li>\n <li>Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.</li>\n <li>Tests, measures, and adjusts engine and machine systems and components.</li>\n <li>Prepares, inspects and operates machines prior to delivery.</li>\n <li>Keeps up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems.</li>\n <li>Prepares inspection and appraisal reports.</li>\n <li>Prepares accurate and complete service reports timely.</li>\n <li>Maintain a professional and proper personal appearance at all times adhering to company policy.</li>\n <li>Flexible to work after hours when needed to meet customer needs.</li>\n <li>Performs related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or (GED) equivalent.</li>\n <li>Three years experience as an Earthmoving Shop Technician on heavy equipment.</li>\n <li>Experience on CAT heavy equipment or similar equipment.</li>\n <li>Heavy equipment service/maintenance knowledge.</li>\n <li>Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.).</li>\n <li>Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).</li>\n <li>Strong problem solving skills and be detailed oriented with a high level of accuracy.</li>\n <li>Strong math skills.</li>\n <li>Able to lift more than 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.</li>\n <li>Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li>Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced service environment.</li>\n <li>Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver’s license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree in a related field is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
