    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p><strong>Baptist Health Princeton Hospital</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Surgical ICU / SICU</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Full Time</strong><strong>Nights</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Patient-Centered Care & Advocacy:</strong> Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, monitors progress, prioritizes care, and serves as a patient and family advocate.</li>\n <li><strong>Age-Appropriate Competency:</strong> Demonstrates knowledge and skills for age-specific care, including growth and development principles, unit-specific procedures, and equipment use.</li>\n <li><strong>Team Leadership & Collaboration:</strong> Functions as preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or clinician; coordinates care, delegates appropriately, and communicates with interdisciplinary teams.</li>\n <li><strong>Professional Role Modeling:</strong> Supports hospital and nursing goals, practices compassionate care, maintains legal and ethical standards, and fosters respectful relationships.</li>\n <li><strong>Documentation & Compliance:</strong> Maintains accurate, consistent patient records meeting regulatory standards and adheres to hospital policies, attendance, and safety guidelines.</li>\n <li><strong>Continuous Learning & Development:</strong> Engages in professional development, attends trainings, mentors staff and students, and partners with leadership to identify growth needs.</li>\n <li><strong>Quality Improvement & Problem Solving:</strong> Participates in committees, peer review, performance improvement initiatives, and applies evidence-based practice to resolve issues effectively.</li>\n <li><strong>Operational Excellence:</strong> Ensures efficient use of supplies, maintains a clean and organized work area, and performs all other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an approved school of nursing.</li>\n <li>Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and unit/department.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains current State of Alabama RN license </li>\n <li>Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.</li>\n <li>ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.</li>\n</ul>",
