This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a diverse portfolio of building types. Based in either our<strong>&nbsp;Columbus, Jacksonville, or Baltimore&nbsp;</strong>offices.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</u></strong></p><p>As a Building Envelope Project Manager, you will lead both routine and complex projects from initial assessment through design and construction administration. You&rsquo;ll balance technical excellence with project management, client communication, and team leadership. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering high-quality work.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p><strong>Project Leadership &amp; Client Engagement</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading project communications and coordination.</li><li>Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing to ensure successful delivery.</li><li>Mentor and guide junior staff, supporting professional development and technical growth.</li><li>Coordinate and oversee subconsultants to ensure alignment with project objectives and deliverables.</li></ul><p><strong>Project Execution &amp; Technical Delivery</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Lead and actively participate in the preparation of detailed construction drawings and technical specifications related to building envelope systems.</li><li>Conduct design meetings, material evaluations, and code reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.</li><li>Perform on-site field assessments and, as required, forensic investigations to evaluate existing building envelope conditions using appropriate testing and diagnostic methods.</li><li>Prepare clear, well-organized assessment and investigation reports documenting findings, identifying probable root causes, and recommending remedial strategies.</li><li>Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates to support client decision-making and capital planning.</li><li>Manage construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, site visits, and project meetings.</li><li>Maintain thorough documentation of project decisions and communications.</li></ul><p><strong>Collaboration &amp; Business Development</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Partner with leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and strategies that support project success and profitability.</li><li>Support proposal development, scope definition, and fee estimates in collaboration with business development and marketing teams.</li><li>Assist with invoicing and project financial tracking.</li><li>Represent PRIME AE at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.</li></ul><p><strong>Professional Growth &amp; Thought Leadership</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Pursue or maintain professional certifications such as RRC, REWC, or RWC.</li><li>Contribute to technical presentations, articles, or internal knowledge sharing.</li><li>Participate in professional organizations and support the continued growth of the Building Envelope practice.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>What You&rsquo;ll Bring</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred.</li><li>First professional degree in architecture or engineering, plus:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Engineers: 6+ years in architecture/engineering with 2+ years of building envelope consulting, OR equivalent experience.</li><li>Architects: 8+ years combined academic and professional experience in building envelope practice.</li></ul></li><li>Commitment to earning or holding RRC, REWC, or RWC certifications.</li><li>Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project; AutoCAD/Revit strongly preferred.</li><li>Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects independently while meeting strict deadlines.</li><li>Willingness to conduct roof and fa&ccedil;ade work using scaffolding, staging, and aerial lifts.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Experience That Adds Value</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Exposure to forensic evaluation of moisture intrusion, air leakage, and thermal performance issues.</li><li>Advanced technical writing skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, client-facing reports.</li><li>Experience supporting ROM cost estimates or capital planning for building envelope repairs or restoration.</li><li>Strong attention to detail when documenting field conditions through photographs, field notes, and sketches.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>Why PRIME AE</u></strong></p><p>We don&rsquo;t just fill positions, we invest in people.</p><p>&nbsp;At PRIME AE, you&rsquo;ll find a supportive, flexible environment where careers are built intentionally, not accidentally.
