Description

Avionics Technician (CDQAR) Job Description Are you passionate about aviation and cutting-edge technology? Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm, headquartered in Maryland and Virginia. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician (CDQAR) to join our dynamic team in Jacksonville, NC. Position Responsibilities: Serve as a CDQAR from the primary discipline of Avionics MOS 6324 during the contract duration. Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions. Perform technical inspection of aircraft, aircraft components, parts, repairs, and systems (including avionics, electrical, instrument and armament) as required by functional assignment. Perform quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment and tools used in aircraft maintenance, vehicles, and equipment. Performs initial, in-progress and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts Provide technical guidance, instructions, and interpretation of written instructions and procedures to technicians as required to assure acceptable quality work and flight line services. Assist in preparation, processing, and answering of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs). Operate aircraft towing equipment in towing operations. Maintains aircraft hydraulic systems. Perform preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems. Perform aircraft maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, and modification of aircraft electrical/avionics systems. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications, and special tools and test equipment. Possess a thorough working knowledge of the detection, prevention and treatment of corrosion. Perform the troubleshooting and rewiring of complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications. Provide technical assistance, guidance and instruction as required. When assigned to the flight line, provide customer support during launch and recovery and aircraft security as required. Perform troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems. Perform functional checks, inspections, troubleshooting as required and trained. May be required to perform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOCs) Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA, and required forms, as required by job assignment. Position Requirements: Minimum of 8 years aviation experience with 4 years rotary wing experience Four (4) years' minimum experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) or Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) on Military Aircraft or 4 years FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) experience in the electrician/avionics field. Must have four (4) years' experience in a primary MOS from the following OccFlds: 6324 Avionics or equivalent skill designation from other services. High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate. U.S Citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card. UH-1 or AH-1 experience required. Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position. Familiar with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical/avionics systems. Proficient in the use of OOMA after assignment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds. Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required. Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead. Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline. Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties. If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks. If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours. If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
