    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida (FL) office is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their MEP team! This is not a remote position.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale projects</li>\n <li>Lead the design and analysis of complex electrical systems for MEP projects</li>\n <li>Responsible for the development of design documents and reports, including electrical layouts, equipment schematics and block diagrams, electrical system calculations, and one-line diagrams</li>\n <li>Daily interaction and collaboration on multi-disciplinary teams, with interaction across Kimley-Horn offices</li>\n <li>Prepare project specifications, and proposals, supporting the growth of electrical engineering service areas in the local market and across the country</li>\n <li>Expected to assist in mentoring, training, and growing a team to expand our MEP practice</li>\n <li>Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, and power analyses</li>\n <li>Coordinate with specialists for fire alarm, technology and lighting design as required by project scope of work</li>\n <li>Coordinate with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers and other disciplines for equipment power needs and sizing electrical distribution</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>4+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering role</li>\n <li>Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)</li>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering </li>\n <li>Understanding of the National Electrical Code,  IEEE and ANSI Standards, Fire Alarm Codes, Building and Energy Codes.</li>\n <li>Willingness to travel to support site visits and client meetings, as needed</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a team; both collaborating with and mentoring junior staff</li>\n <li>Preferred</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Experience in building and associated site power distribution systems.  </li>\n  <li>Experience in Fire Alarm systems.</li>\n  <li>Experience in lighting controls and photometric calculations.</li>\n  <li>Experience in engineering project management</li>\n  <li>Proficiency in Revit</li>\n  <li>Experience in power system analysis using SKM, ETAP, or equivalent</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why Kimley-Horn?</h2>\n<p>At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
