    "descriptionText": "Description\n\n Senior Software Engineer \n\nAstor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), an award winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer .  This is a full time position, and is 100% remote.  \n \n Roles and Responsibilities \n\n The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems, architecting scalable solutions on AWS, and ensuring secure, high performing applications.\n Develop and maintain APIs using Django Rest Framework (DRF) and Python.\n Work with MySQL databases for data modeling and optimization.\n Java and .NET core programming\n Design and implement scalable architectures leveraging AWS services\n Utilize Splunk, SolarWinds, and Google Analytics for system monitoring and performance analysis\n Conduct vulnerability scanning using tools such as Trivy, AWS ECR image scanning, and SonarQube.\n Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD\n Oversee application release cycles from requirements gathering to production deployment\n Additional duties as assigned\n\n Requirements\n\n Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field \n 5+ years of experience as a full stack software engineer  \n Experience developing in Django Rest Framework (DRF) and Python\n MySQL knowledge\n Java programming experience, .NET Core experience is preferred\n Experience working with front end frameworks (React highly preferred)\n Cloud experience, specifically supporting AWS components\n System monitoring experience\n Experience using vulnerability scanning tools such as Trivy, AWS ECR, or SonarQube\n Knowledge of Docker, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD\n Existing Public Trust, or previously DOL experience is preferred\n\n Benefits\n\nAstor & Sanders Corporation (www.astor sanders.com) offers a unique, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.
