font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">This position<strong>&nbsp;</strong>is responsible for the profitable growth of an assigned book of Healthcare Professional and General Liability business utilizing underwriting policies, guidelines, rating manual rules and insurance laws and regulations. &nbsp;The Senior Underwriting Account Manager will have a thorough understanding of EmPRO&rsquo;s strategies and appetites and will use internal and external data to make appropriate individual and portfolio risk decisions.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><em data-pasted=\"true\">**This position has potential to be based in our Roslyn, New York; Boston, Massachusetts; or Hamilton, New Jersey offices. &nbsp;Training will take place in Roslyn, New York regardless of the primary location of the position. &nbsp;Employees based outside of New York will need to be able to travel to the Roslyn site as needed. &nbsp;Ability to work from home contingent upon prior experience.**</em></span></p><p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Underwrite accounts for the Healthcare Facilities Underwriting within the scope of assigned underwriting authority.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Reviews applications and financial requirements to determine acceptability of risk in accordance with EmPRO&rsquo;s guidelines and standards.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Understands pricing components and rating methodology as well as use of the predictive modeling tools; prices risk based on financial and competitive analysis.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Use all appropriate underwriting tools disciplines and knowledge of strategies to ensure underwriting guidelines are followed.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems as well as the ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Review and prepare quotation proposals on submission and renewing accounts for both Healthcare Professional and General Liability.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Keeps current on state/territory issues, regulations, and trends. &nbsp;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Manages assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, product mix, new business and portfolio management goals</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); NYS broker&rsquo;s license desired. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">5+ years of hospital professional liability insurance is preferred but will consider physicians professional liability experience with a focus on Healthcare Facilities; font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Knowledge of underwriting processes, coverages, and tools to gather and evaluate information in order to reach appropriate decisions on renewals and new business.</li><li style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);
