          "text": "<p><strong>Remuneration</strong><br>\n<br>\nStrait-Richmond has 1.7 lines of inpatient beds for a <strong>daily stipend of $2634.48 / day.&#xa0;</strong> Half-line coverage is available. (<em>The daily rate for a full Community Hospitalist line (1.0) is $1,545.56 /line / day</em>)</p><p>Regular Facility On-Call at $350 weekdays and $500 on weekends and holidays.&#xa0;Fee-For-Service when called back.</p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>be accountable for management of your panel of hospitalist patients</li><li>provide care and coordination of community-based care, and secondary and tertiary level heath care</li><li>operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority&#xa0;</li><li>participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities</li><li>The standard work week is 7 days on, 7 days off - open to discuss alternative scheduling such as weekend coverage, evening/overnight shifts, partial weeks, etc.</li><li>8 am - 5 pm daily, 7 days a week for the week you are scheduled</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p>Strait Richmond Hospital is seeking a Hospitalist to join their group. Strait Richmond Hospital serves the health care needs of the residents of communities in Richmond County and the southern portion of Inverness County.</p><p>The facility includes 20 acute care beds and 11 long-term care beds, providing both short-term and continuing care options.&#xa0;The long-term care beds are covered by a Nurse Practitioner Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.</p><p>Each Hospitalist is expected to be on-site daily at times that align with the timing of&#xa0;daily bed management decisions by other hospital management staff and as&#xa0;needed to meet patient needs. They may perform other work outside of the&#xa0;Community Hospital model (e.g. office-based, ED coverage, etc.)</p><p>The site also houses a number of other interdisciplinary services:</p><ul><li>community based rehabilitation centre</li><li>diabetes education</li><li>diagnostic imaging</li><li>dietitian</li><li>emergency department</li><li>foot care clinic</li><li>hemodialysis</li><li>laboratory services</li><li>mental health &amp; addictions services</li><li>occupational therapy</li><li>palliative care</li><li>physiotherapy</li><li>social work</li></ul><p>The facility also has a number of visiting specialists:</p><ul><li>cardiology</li><li>nephrology</li><li>ophthalmology</li><li>palliative care</li></ul><p>The two regional referral centres for the area include Cape Breton Regional Hospital (Sydney – 1 hour 30 minutes) and St. Martha's Regional Hospital (Antigonish – 45 min) LifeFlight operates in Nova Scotia to support patient transport. Mobile SIM for in situ training with ED team and Inter Professional Practice teams.</p>",
