It also advocates for and offers a welcoming environment for underserved and vulnerable populations.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong>&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">We are seeking an organized and resourceful <strong>Patient Associate</strong>, &nbsp;for our Jackson Heights location, to register patients, collect co-pays and payments for services and enters registration information in the Electronic Medical Record.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Customer Service &ndash; receive person presenting to clinic reception area; patient registration; schedule patients efficiently.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Administration &ndash; verify patient insurance eligibility prior to appointments, obtain pre-authorization</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Compliance &ndash; ensure that patient records are accurate and complete.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">QA/QI &ndash; participate in Quality Improvement activities.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">Collaboration &ndash; participate in patient recruitment and retention activities.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana,sans-serif;\"><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif;\">High school diploma/GED with 2 years of working experience required.
