Description

Credentialing Specialist Job Description Reports To: Credentialing Specialist will report directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle Management Job Overview: The Credentialing Specialist is one of the first points of contact once a provider has decided to join our practice. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for assisting the provider through the Credentialing process and e nsuring that all information and forms are submitted and up to date. Essential Job Functions: Send welcome email to new providers with Credentialing Packet. Correspond with providers to assist them in the process of completing and obtaining all information necessary for the credentialing process. Supply CVO with all necessary provider information to complete primary source verification. Submit completed credentialing applications to all participating insurance companies. Correspond with insurance companies throughout the process and troubleshoot any issues as necessary. Sign providers up for our PLI policy. Keep all spreadsheets and documents up to date. Recredentialing and Directory Updates. License, DEA, PLI and Board Certification renewals. Miscellaneous Insurance Applications and updates Other Miscellaneous Billing and Credentialing tasks Requirements: Strong customer service and computer skills Excellent data entry, proofreading, phone and communication skills Skilled in o rganization and prioritization Two years of related Credentialing experience
