    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>A loving Long Island family is seeking a reliable, warm, and responsible live-in caretaker/companion to support an elderly man who is largely self-sufficient. This role focuses on assistance, organization, and quality of life rather than hands-on medical care. The general schedule will be 5 days a week, with the occasional 6th day as needed. There will be lots of downtime throughout the day. Flexibility will be required as the day-to-day needs change. Travel to Palm Beach from January through April will be required. The family is not offering relocation, and local candidates are preferred. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support</li>\n <li>Drive client to appointments, errands, and activities</li>\n <li>Grocery shopping and running local errands</li>\n <li>Light housekeeping (tidying, laundry assistance, maintaining a clean and safe environment)</li>\n <li>Meal planning and light meal preparation</li>\n <li>Accompany client to doctor appointments and assist with medication scheduling/ reminders</li>\n <li>Assist with home organization and general home safety awareness</li>\n <li>Provide light pet care as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a valid driver's license</li>\n <li>Dependable, patient, and respectful</li>\n <li>Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary and Benefits</h2>\n<p>The family is offering $75k to $85k commensurate with experience.</p>",
