This role partners closely with executive leadership (GM Financial and General Motors Mexico) to shape commercial strategy, optimize product and pricing frameworks, and deliver integrated, data-driven marketing initiatives across channels. The Director orchestrates marketing, CRM, brand, and dealer engagement strategies to maximize business performance and customer lifetime value. In this role you will: Define and lead the marketing and communications strategy aligned with GM Financial’s business objectives, ensuring strong integration with GM Mexico and dealer network priorities. Shape commercial performance levers by influencing pricing, product design, incentives, and go-to-market strategies to maximize volume, profitability, and portfolio quality. Drive enterprise CRM and customer lifecycle strategy, leveraging advanced analytics and segmentation to enhance acquisition, retention, and engagement. Lead digital transformation of marketing capabilities, integrating performance marketing, automation, and omnichannel experiences. Oversee brand governance and corporate communications, ensuring consistency, differentiation, and alignment with global brand guidelines. Partner with executive stakeholders (C-level and senior leadership) to influence strategic decisions, align cross-functional priorities, and enable business growth initiatives. Own relationships with external partners (agencies, media, vendors, GM, and strategic allies), ensuring high-impact execution and innovation. Establish a robust insights and analytics function, translating market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer behavior into actionable strategic recommendations. Lead high-impact initiatives including dealer programs (e.g., loyalty platforms), events, and integrated campaigns that strengthen market positioning and commercial results. Ensure disciplined financial governance, optimizing marketing investments, ROI, and budget allocation aligned with strategic priorities. Champion organizational transformation , driving change initiatives that evolve marketing capabilities, operating models, and culture. Business Impact Direct accountability for driving revenue growth, market share, and customer acquisition across GM Financial Mexico. Ownership of critical marketing KPIs and strategic initiatives that directly impact commercial performance and dealer productivity. Enables stronger alignment between GM Financial, General Motors, and dealer network, creating a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Leadership Scope Leads multi-layered, cross-functional teams and external partners. Drives a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Champions large-scale change management and transformation initiatives impacting multiple business units. Qualifications What makes You an ideal candidate? Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Communications or related field; MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, commercial strategy, or related functions in B2C/B2B environments. Significant leadership experience (7+ years) managing multi-level teams and developing senior talent. Proven track record of driving business growth through strategic marketing and commercial initiatives. Strong expertise in CRM, digital marketing, customer analytics, and omnichannel strategy. Demonstrated ability to influence C-level stakeholders and operate in highly matrixed organizations. Experience in financial services, automotive, or related industries preferred.
