From consultation, to manufacturing, to installation, AWP will make the most ambitious display ideas a reality.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Position Summary:</span></span></p>\n<p><span>This is a full-time, unionized position at our facility in Surrey, BC.</span></p>\n<p><span>Reporting to the Production Manager, t</span>he Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling components and unfinished products by interpreting drawings, schematics, and work instructions, while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>This is a union position and the successful candidate will become a member of United Steelworkers Local 2009.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Key Role Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read and follow drawings, schematics and instructions to assemble components and unfinished products</li>\n<li>Use hand tools and hand machines to perform Assembly operations</li>\n<li>Ability to handle material using a forklift</li>\n<li>Conduct visual and dimensional inspection to ensure quality standards of assembly</li>\n<li>Ability to lead and direct production workers as necessary<br></li>\n<li><span>Maintain company's quality and productivity standards</span></li>\n<li><span>Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs (23kg) as required</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Skills and Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions</li>\n<li>Proven ability to operate machinery and perform assembly tasks independently.</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of basic quality control processes and inspection tools (calipers, gauges, etc.).</li>\n<li>Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.<br></li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely and efficiently</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li>\n<li>Reliable attendance and flexibility to work rotating shifts if necessary.</li>\n<li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation and Benefits:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Comprehensive Health &amp; Dental Benefits</span></li>\n<li><span>Company contributions to the United Steelworkers Local 2009 Pension Plan</span></li>\n<li><span>Free On-site parking</span></li>\n<li><span>Supportive team environment and growth opportunities.  </span></li>\n<li><span>Amazing staff room to enjoy during breaks!</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">How to Apply:</span></span></p>\n<p><span>Please submit your resume online only -  no walk-ins, please.
