Through supportive services, innovative programs, and a deeply caring team, we walk alongside each individual on their journey&mdash;reflecting the transformative love of God in all we do.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>This position has a BFOQ to be faith aligned.&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">We are seeking a passionate and mission-driven <strong>Chief Operations Officer (COO)</strong> to help expand the impact of Shepherd&rsquo;s House Ministries across all sites and advance this life-changing work.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is accountable for providing strategic and operational leadership that strengthens and advances the mission, culture, and long-term effectiveness of Shepherd&rsquo;s House Ministries. Serving as a key partner to the CEO and Executive Team, the COO ensures organizational operations are aligned, collaborative, and mission-driven. This role is responsible for identifying operational gaps and opportunities, fostering strong internal and external partnerships, and ensuring systems, resources, and teams work cohesively to support organizational goals, program excellence, and sustainable growth in accordance with SHM&rsquo;s Mission Statement and Core Values.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Strategic Work Expectations:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Shall strive for and embody honesty, compassion, forgiveness, mercy, gentleness, hospitality of spirit, and the deep love of Jesus in word and deed, leading with humility, compassion, and self-awareness.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Will work towards having a teachable spirit and a willingness to learn.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate in partnership with leadership, advisors and coworkers to contribute to and carry out the organization&rsquo;s strategy and goals.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Model and promote SHM&rsquo;s mission, culture, and core values through leadership, decision-making, and daily operations as a member of the Executive Team.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lead, supervise, and develop direct reports through hiring, coaching, training, performance management, accountability, and professional development.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide strategic oversight and operational leadership&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure organizational technology systems, infrastructure, communication tools, and operational platforms effectively support SHM operations and growth.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Oversee facility operations, maintenance, safety, and capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and organizational standards.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational systems, workflows, policies, procedures, and organizational processes to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Partner with Finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Establish and monitor operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to evaluate performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide leadership and coordination during organizational emergencies, facility disruptions, critical incidents, and community response situations.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure organizational compliance with applicable legal standards, grant requirements, labor laws, safety regulations, and risk management practices.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Team, and community partners in strategic planning, organizational leadership, partnership development, and execution of organizational initiatives.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in shared leadership responsibilities, including executive team support, community engagement, on-call leadership rotation, and advancing the spiritual and organizational culture of SHM.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Please note that this is not a comprehensive list and that this position will perform other duties as assigned to support organizational needs.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education &amp; Experience:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a related field required; Master&rsquo;s degree preferred, with at least five (5) years of senior leadership or operational management experience in nonprofit, ministry, healthcare, housing, or human services settings.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong leadership and change management abilities, with experience leading high-performing, values-aligned teams through growth and organizational development.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Committed Christian with a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness, addiction, and mental illness, including familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent strategic thinking, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience in operational oversight, compliance, risk management, budgeting, and organizational systems, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and departments effectively.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Spiritual &amp;
