    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Program Description</span></span></p>\n<p>Our Post-Graduate APP Program is specifically designed for physician assistants and nurse practitioners who are interested in a life-long career in emergency medicine with training sites in the Spokane, WA through Spokane Emergency Care Physicians (SECP), a subsidiary of WECP.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Program Objective</span></span></p>\n<p>To provide exceptional training and experience for APP professionals to have a successful career in any emergency department setting. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Curriculum</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nine (9) months program</span> duration with over <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3000 hours</span> of post graduate training\n<ul>\n<li>Over <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">1500 hours of clinical training</span></li>\n<li>Over <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">150 hours of didactics</span> to include over an introductory bootcamp followed by monthly activities that include meetings, case presentations, procedure lab or simulation. </li>\n<li>Over <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">250 hours of independent study</span> to include case review &amp; presentation preparation, assigned CME and readings. </li>\n<li>Expected commitment of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">50 hours per week</span> of the above activities</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Phased Training</span> with increasing levels of expected competency and confidence.\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Post Graduate Month 1:</span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-Boot Camp: 37 hours of online Emergency Medicine CME months before start of Program</li>\n<li>Boot Camp:  First 2 weeks at start of Program</li>\n<li>ACLS/PALS/ATLS certification</li>\n<li>Shadow shifts with APP and physicians</li>\n<li>EPIC and documentation training</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Month 2:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>1 month of ED clinical shifts supervised by APP in low acuity zones</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Month 3-8:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>6 months of ED clinical shifts with a mix of supervision by APP and Physicians in high and low acuity zones</li>\n<li>External shadow shifts with specialists including ortho, cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, hospitalists, anesthesia</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Month 9:</span>  \n<ul>\n<li>1 month of ED clinical shifts with supervised APP in low acuity zones</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Option to internally moonlight in months 8 and 9 with approval</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Continuing Medical Education </span>\n<ul>\n<li>Required 150+ CME hours (paid for with CME budget)</li>\n<li>Original EM Boot Camp online course, to be completed before start of program</li>\n<li>EMRAP subscription for duration of program</li>\n<li>UpToDate subscription </li>\n<li>ACLS, PALS</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Faculty Advisor &amp; Mentor</span> will be assigned to each post graduate candidate\n<ul>\n<li>Regularly scheduled monthly meetings with Faculty Advisor </li>\n<li>Advisor to monitor progress and identify strengths/areas of improvement</li>\n<li>Advisor with candidate will develop individualized plan to ensure continued growth and development </li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">1 class per year</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Winter - Starting in December- 2 candidates</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Training Locations</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>All sites are part of the MultiCare Health System</li>\n<li>Located in the beautiful Inland Northwest in Spokane, WA: MultiCare Deaconess Hospital (Level 3 Trauma, primary cardiac &amp; stroke), Valley Hospital and North Deaconess Off Campus Emergency Department</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Admission requirements</span></span></p>\n<ol>\n<li>Must have graduated from an accredited PA/NP school</li>\n<li>Must be certified/licensed in Washington State</li>\n<li>Must be able to evaluate and treat both pediatric and adult patients</li>\n<li>Must be willing to relocate to the Spokane for duration of program. </li>\n<li>Must be ACLS and PALS certified for duration of program</li>\n<li>Must be hard working and self-motivated</li>\n</ol>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Compensation &amp;
