RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></span><strong><br></strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Working under the direction of the LA Security Division Coordinator &amp; Southern California Staff Director, this individual will be part of the LA Security Division which represents security officers throughout LA and Southern California, including contract enforcement and member engagement to make gains in the workplace and to address larger social/political issues in their communities. </span></a></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">Examples of Duties</span></em></span><span><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">:</span> </span></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #231f20; font-family: Symbol\"><span>·   </span></span><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Organize workers, identify workplace issues and execute worksite actions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #231f20; font-family: Symbol\"><span>·   </span></span><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Participate in contract negotiations and coordinated campaigns.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #231f20; font-family: Symbol\"><span>·   </span></span><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Planning, mobilization and turnout for<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> worksite actions, union events, marches, etc.</a></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #231f20; font-family: Symbol\"><span>·   </span></span><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Effectively communicate with members and employers to enforce contract &amp; resolve worksite disputes and issues.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #231f20; font-family: Symbol\"><span>·   </span></span><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Prepare and manage workplans, calendars, files and records. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #231f20; font-family: Symbol\"><span>·   </span></span><span style=\"color: #231f20\">Effectively communicate and engage members in union political program and activity. </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS:</span> </span></span><span><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt\">Graduation from an accredited college or university in relevant field or equivalent experience in labor &amp; community organizing that would provide for the following knowledge of, skills &amp;
