Geotechnical Project Engineer (Construction) - Dallas, Texas

What are we looking for?
The Geotechnical Project Engineer - Construction is responsible for performing a variety of assignments that include evaluations using standard techniques, procedures and criteria; using judgment to make minor adoptions and modifications during work.

What you’ll do:
Prepare preliminary geotechnical reports, scopes, budgets and schedules for projects as per specifications Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams Work on one or multiple projects at a time May perform on-site observations or inspections This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Master's degree (MS) from an ABET accredited college or university in Geotechnical Engineering 5 years' progressive experience in geotechnical consulting Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or ability to obtain PE License within 6 months Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed May travel up to 15% of time Ability to read and understand work plans Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal & written communication Proficiency in engineering software in discipline (GeoStudio, LPILE, APILE, SHAFT, GROUP, SLIDE, Settle3D) Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:
PhD from an ABET accredited college or university in Geotechnical Engineering Experience with PLAXIS 2D and 3D Intertek: Total Quality. Assured.
