This includes distributing, collecting, and managing all linen within the facility, ensuring that linens are handled, cleaned, and stored according to hospital standards. The Laundry Worker plays a key role in supporting the hospital's operational efficiency by maintaining a steady supply of clean linens for patient care and hospital functions.<br><br><b>Essential Functions</b><ul><li>Schedules and assigns linen deliveries throughout the hospital.</li>\n<li>Stocks linen carts to be delivered to various hospital departments and floors, ensuring timely delivery to meet the needs of patients, medical staff, and hospital operations.</li>\n<li>Collects soiled linens from patient rooms, departments, and common areas, following proper infection control protocols and ensuring that linen is securely transported.</li>\n<li>Monitors linen inventory levels, reports shortages, and assists in maintaining adequate stock levels of clean linens, towels, scrubs, and other hospital fabrics.</li>\n<li>Ensures that clean linen is delivered in a timely manner to meet hospital demand, with special attention to emergency or urgent requests.</li>\n<li>Inspects linens for cleanliness, damage, and stains before delivery, ensuring that only acceptable items are distributed to the hospital floors.</li>\n<li>Maintains accurate records of linen usage, collection, and distribution, as required by hospital policy.</li>\n<li>Helps with rotating and organizing linen stock to ensure that older linens are used first and that linens are properly stored in a clean and accessible manner.</li>\n<li>Follows safety protocols and infection control guidelines in handling soiled and clean linens. Ensures that laundry equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe condition.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>\n<li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li>\n<li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li></ul><b>Qualifications</b><ul><li>0-2 years experience in laundry or housekeeping in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred </li></ul><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b><ul><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of linens (up to 50 pounds).</li>\n<li>Knowledge of infection control and safety practices related to handling hospital linen.</li>\n<li>Ability to operate laundry machines and equipment.</li>\n<li>Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with hospital staff.</li></ul>\n",
