Your adventure begins here – because <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Opportunity Changes Everything</em></span>!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Works with Program Managers to ensure that programs are responsive to individual needs of members. </li>\n<li>Participates in individual short- and long-term goal planning and develops and implements quality programs with either modifications or adaptations based on participants needs.</li>\n<li>Promote integration with peers while providing necessary accommodations</li>\n<li>Develops relationships with member’s parents/guardians and ensures effective communication with families. </li>\n<li>Provides group and/or individual behaviour management, support and develops care plans when necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Creates program activity calendar to be distributed to members and families</li>\n<li>Use Club vans to pick up members from school and transport to various sites.</li>\n<li>Maintain documentation of participants including daily case notes, statistical, and program reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures that accurate program and member records are maintained and that confidentiality is a priority. </li>\n<li>Ensures Agency Policies and Procedures, Program Operating Standards, WCB standards, Community Care Licensing Regulations, Risk Management requirements and general facility safety standards are met and followed by all staff.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma or Certificate and relevant experience working with children and youth with diverse abilities or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience</li>\n<li>First Aid and Food Safe Certificate or willingness to obtain</li>\n<li>Class 4 Driver’s Licence or willingness to obtain</li>\n<li>Must be at least 19 years of age as per Provincial Licensing Regulations</li>\n<li>Successful completion of Agency screening process, including criminal record check</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Please Note:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position is open to all applicants</li>\n<li>This position requires union membership</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours</span>: Casual/on call, Monday – Friday</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Rate of Pay: </span>$22.28 per hour</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Closing Date:</span> Open until filled  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>As an equal opportunity employer, BGC Okanagan is committed to the prioritization of equitable and inclusive employment practices.
