          "text": "<p>CEDA’s shop in Fort McMurray offers a first-class culture of professionals, great equipment and our mandate of doing the work right the first time is the pride we bring to the shop every day.</p><p>The shift will be either a&#xa0;7x7 or 14x14,&#xa0;12hr days based out of our truck shop at 180 MacLennan Cres, in Fort McMurray, AB.&#xa0;<strong>Travel and accommodation will&#xa0;<u>not</u>&#xa0;be provided.</strong></p><p>The variety of interesting equipment with specialty components combined with the tools needed to do great work are a few reasons our shop team loves working here.&#xa0;&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive wages at&#xa0;<strong>$62.44 per hour (This includes a $5 per hour incentive for all straight time hours worked).</strong></li><li>$800/month&#xa0;HET allowance</li><li>Retention program</li><li><strong>Excellent benefits</strong>&#xa0;and&#xa0;<strong>matching pension</strong>&#xa0;contributions starting on your first day!</li><li>Annual heath care spending account</li><li>Multiple shifts to choose from,<strong>&#xa0;7X7 or 14X14 schedule</strong>&#xa0;with&#xa0;<strong>12 hour shifts ; all day shifts (No nights)</strong></li><li>A clean, well organized, and well equipped shop located right in Fort McMurray.</li><li><strong>We pride ourselves on safety and quality.</strong></li><li><strong>Full time, year round</strong>&#xa0;work with an excellent&#xa0;<strong>team&#xa0;</strong>completing&#xa0;<u>all</u>&#xa0;repairs in house, allowing continuous growth and skill development</li></ul><p><strong>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Preventative maintenance on Hydrovacs, Wet Vaccuum, Combo and Water trucks; High Pressure Water Blasting Equipment, Highway tractors and trailers (Peterbilt, Western Star, Kenworth)</li><li>Ongoing diagnostic and repair of diesel engines &amp; after treatment. (Cummins, CAT, Detroit, and John Deere)</li><li>Hydraulic &amp; PTO diagnostic and repair</li><li>Clutches, transmissions &amp; differentials</li><li>Vacuum pump &amp; blower repair</li><li>Burner diagnostic &amp; repair</li><li>Commercial Vehicle Inspections</li><li>Troubleshoot issues, inspect equipment and replace or repair defective parts</li><li>Interpret work orders</li><li>Work alongside apprentices and delegate work</li><li>Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>&#xa0;Role Specifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman required (On-Road)</li><li>Valid Class 5 drivers licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required</li><li>Class 1 or 3 drivers licence would be an asset</li><li>CVIP licence, or able to achieve a CVIP licence</li><li>Experience in hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is an asset</li><li>Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test</li><li>Must be able to provide your own tools</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely</li><li>You’re meticulous – you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs</li><li>Good communication skills, enjoy doing precision work, and solving problems</li><li>Your knowledge of Cummins, CAT and John Deere engines would set you up for success</li></ul>",
