This role involves administering treatments, performing diagnostic testing, triaging patient concerns, and delivering patient education. The RN demonstrates professionalism, ethical clinical behavior, and respect for patient rights while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Assesses patients during the intake process, documenting symptoms, medical history, and medications in the electronic medical record while identifying potential concerns and initiating appropriate care plans.</li><li>Administers medications and treatments, including vaccines, oral medications, and inhalation therapies, adhering to protocols and safety standards.</li><li>Performs diagnostic ancillary testing such as lab draws and EKGs and assists providers during medical and surgical procedures.</li><li>Triages patient concerns via telephone or in-person interactions, providing recommendations or escalating concerns to the appropriate care team member.</li><li>Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery and a supportive patient experience.</li><li>Creates and delivers patient education on disease processes, treatment plans, and medication management to promote understanding and adherence.</li><li>Maintains a sanitized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols and properly disposing of hazardous materials such as needles and medications.</li><li>Reviews and updates clinic logs, including sample, narcotics, expiration, refrigerator, and vaccine logs, ensuring compliance with clinic policies.</li><li>Coordinates follow-up care by responding to patient portal messages, returning phone calls, and addressing test results such as labs, imaging, or medication refills by the end of each day.</li><li>Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans, advocating for patient health and well-being.</li><li>Responds to emergencies or urgent clinical situations, ensuring appropriate resources and actions are mobilized to address patient needs.</li><li>Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li><li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>0-2 years of nursing experience in a clinical or outpatient setting required</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p><ul><li>Strong clinical knowledge and ability to assess, plan, and implement patient care.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.</li><li>Proficiency in using electronic medical records for accurate documentation.</li><li>Knowledge of infection control protocols, clinic safety standards, and quality improvement practices.</li><li>Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage complex patient care situations.</li><li>Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.</li><li>Empathy, compassion, and professionalism in patient interactions.</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses and Certifications</strong></p><ul><li>RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required</li><li>BLS - Basic Life Support obtained from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required</li><li>ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
