The CNA assists with basic patient care tasks, ensures patient comfort, and contributes to a safe and healing environment. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><u>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</u></span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>Minimum Education:</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>High school graduate or equivalency.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant training program.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>Patient Care</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Obtains basic age-appropriate measures including but not limited to vital signs and intake/output volumes. &nbsp;Reports abnormalities to an RN.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Assists with specimen collection, nutrition, elimination and pulmonary support.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Provides basic physical care and comfort measures.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Provides assistance with thermal application; non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings; font-size: 16px;'>Assist nursing staff with procedures, including setting up equipment and ensuring a clean and organized environment.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Transport patients to and from diagnostic tests, procedures, and other units as required.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper disposal of waste and soiled linens.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>Documentation</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>As directed, assists the care team by collecting patient care data at designated and appropriate intervals on all assigned patients. Reports findings to licensed staff.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Recognizes and accurately reports relevant patient information to licensed staff.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Communicates appropriate information regarding patient safety and infection control to RN or nurse manager.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Ensures that all aspects of patient care are documented, and that documentation is accurate and complete.</li></ul><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>Scope of Service</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Performs all responsibilities/duties required by unit as defined in the scope of service, to ensure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed. This includes but is not limited to the age of the client served.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>As directed by the licensed nursing staff, provides care in a manner that is safe and sensitive to the rights of each patient.</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Demonstrates knowledge and skill in use of special equipment.
