At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The HVAC Lead Technician is responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems across industrial, commercial, laboratory, and support facilities. This position provides technical leadership to HVAC technicians, ensures compliance with safety and quality requirements, and supports mission-critical operations in a highly regulated environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and coordinate daily HVAC maintenance and repair activities.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, refrigeration, chilled water, and air handling systems.</li>\n <li>Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC equipment.</li>\n <li>Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals.</li>\n <li>Supervise and mentor HVAC technicians and subcontractors.</li>\n <li>Plan and assign work orders, ensuring completion in accordance with established schedules.</li>\n <li>Ensure work is performed in accordance with site safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and environmental regulations.</li>\n <li>Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical control system issues.</li>\n <li>Maintain computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) records and work orders.</li>\n <li>Coordinate equipment outages, testing, and commissioning activities.</li>\n <li>Support energy efficiency and system reliability initiatives.</li>\n <li>Conduct inspections and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements.</li>\n <li>Participate in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, OSHA requirements, and DOE regulations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen</li>\n <li>EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li>\n <li>Technical school certification or Associate Degree in HVAC/R, Mechanical Technology, or related field preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum 5–10 years of HVAC maintenance experience in industrial, commercial, government, nuclear, or manufacturing facilities.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and air handling units.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li>\n <li>Proficiency using CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications.</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Journeyman or Master HVAC License.</li>\n <li>Experience in DOE, nuclear, industrial, or federal facilities.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), DDC controls, and energy management systems.</li>\n <li>Experience with safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, and Hazard Analysis.</li>\n <li>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</li>\n <li>Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.</li>\n <li>Leadership and team coordination abilities.</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.</li>\n <li>Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces.</li>\n <li>Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Desired Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>OSHA 30-Hour,</li>\n <li>HVAC Journeyman/Master License, CPR/First Aid, and applicable manufacturer training certifications.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong>E2 Federal Services, LLC </strong>offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, paid time off.</p>\n<h2>Work Environment/Physical Demands</h2>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<p>This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
