We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Sr. Quality Control Specialist performs first article, in-process, and final component inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), manual inspection equipment, and visual inspection. They will translate engineering requirements to quality control plans and develop CMM programs as needed.  This role will ensure compliance with quality requirements and ensure that manufactured or procured products meet specified standards before they progress to next phase of production or customer delivery.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality requirements;</li>\n <li>Prepare quality control plans for components based on engineering specifications;</li>\n <li>Develop Coordinate Measuring Machine programs;</li>\n <li>Set-up and inspect components using CMM’s;</li>\n <li>Utilize various manual measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, and other hand-held measuring devices;</li>\n <li>Utilize vision-based equipment such as optical comparators for measurement of parts or part characteristics;</li>\n <li>Inspect in-process products on the shop floor to ensure compliance with Centrus quality standards;</li>\n <li>Evaluate inspection results to determine conformance to requirements;</li>\n <li>Complete final inspection reports and first article inspection reports;</li>\n <li>Upload inspection records to company server;</li>\n <li>Document, track, and complete nonconformance reports;</li>\n <li>Perform basic weekly and daily maintenance of CMM instruments.  Track CMM performance to ensure calibration is accurate;</li>\n <li>Understand basic statistical techniques sufficient for evaluation of measurement data trends;</li>\n <li>Conduct Measurement System Analysis;</li>\n <li>Understand and follow Centrus quality management system procedures;</li>\n <li>Train others on inspection techniques and tools when required;</li>\n <li>Keep machines and work area clean and organized;</li>\n <li>Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines;</li>\n <li>Practice safe working behaviors and adhere to safety policies, guidelines, and procedures; and</li>\n <li>Other projects as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Licensure</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma. (required)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>At least 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection and CMM programming required,</li>\n <li>Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14.5.</li>\n <li>Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.</li>\n <li>Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.</li>\n <li>Ability to execute tasks assigned with minimum supervision.</li>\n <li>Requires great attention to detail and the ability to read mechanical drawings and view CAD models and specifications.</li>\n <li>Ability to write procedures and reports.</li>\n <li>Good communication skills with co-workers, engineering, and various support personnel.</li>\n <li>Strong computer software skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.</li>\n <li>Programming and operation experience using Zeiss Calypso software and CMMs.</li>\n <li>Modeling experience with SolidWorks.</li>\n <li>Experience in the use of statistical tools such as Minitab.</li>\n <li>Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship. </li>\n <li>Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance. </li>\n <li>Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
