Just blowouts. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Assistant Shop Manager – Drybar</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Scarlet Macaw Inc. | Sales Operations</strong><strong></strong><strong>Reports to:</strong> Shop Manager / General Manager<strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time</p>\n<h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2>\n<p>Drybar is seeking a motivated and energetic <strong>Assistant Shop Manager</strong> to help lead our shop team, deliver an exceptional client experience, and drive revenue growth.</p>\n<p>This role blends <strong>leadership, operations, marketing, and stylist development</strong> to ensure our team consistently delivers the signature Drybar experience. The Assistant Shop Manager partners closely with the Shop Manager to support daily operations, develop team members, and grow the business through strong performance, retail success, and community engagement.</p>\n<p>This position is ideal for a <strong>licensed cosmetologist with leadership potential</strong> who enjoys coaching teams, building client relationships, and helping a business grow.</p>\n<h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1>\n<h2><strong>Sales & Business Performance</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support shop revenue growth by monitoring and improving key performance metrics• Optimize appointment scheduling to maximize revenue while managing labor costs• Drive retail performance through product education and upselling strategies• Support membership growth, client package sales, and retention initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Marketing & Community Engagement</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Execute local marketing initiatives including <strong>social media, events, and community partnerships</strong><strong></strong>• Build brand visibility through outreach with local businesses, schools, and organizations• Assist in planning in-shop events, promotions, and recruitment initiatives• Represent the Drybar brand with professionalism and enthusiasm</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Team Development & Education</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Train, coach, and mentor stylists and bartenders to elevate service quality• Support interviewing, auditioning, onboarding, and training of new hires• Provide real-time coaching to improve technique, service timing, and retail success• Foster a positive, motivated team culture through mentorship and recognition</li>\n</ul>\n<h2><strong>Operations & Shop Leadership</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as <strong>Manager-on-Duty</strong> when the Shop Manager is not present• Ensure adherence to brand standards, service protocols, and safety policies• Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and smooth daily operations• Support inventory management and ordering processes• Assist with staffing schedules, payroll tracking, and operational reporting</li>\n</ul>\n<h1><strong>Qualifications</strong></h1>\n<h2><strong>Required</strong></h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Active state-issued Cosmetology license</strong><strong></strong>• <strong>2–3 years experience</strong> in a salon, beauty, or similar service environment• Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate and guide a team• Strong communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to analyze performance data and communicate results to leadership• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h1><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting or managing <strong>social media for a business or brand</strong><strong></strong>• Marketing experience including <strong>local promotions, events, or community outreach</strong><strong></strong>• Strong computer skills and familiarity with digital tools and scheduling systems• Experience with <strong>Booker, Canva, or similar salon/marketing software</strong><strong></strong>• Previous experience in a leadership, assistant manager, or trainer role• Passion for beauty, client service, and team development</li>\n</ul>\n<h1><strong>What Success Looks Like</strong></h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Consistently meeting or exceeding revenue, membership, and retail goals• A well-trained team delivering the Drybar experience at a high level• Strong client satisfaction and repeat bookings• Increased local brand awareness through community engagement</li>\n</ul>\n<h1><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></h1>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive hourly wage• Tips and service commissions• Company-sponsored health insurance plan• Paid Time Off• Eligibility for company incentives and bonuses</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Apply today to see if the Drybar Shops® brand  is a great fit for you.
