Description

Position Opening – Personal Attendant Services Coordinator Location: 100 Enterprise Place Suite 1. Dover, DE 19904 Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore is seeking a Coordinator to be a part of our Personal Attendant Services Program in Kent County. The Personal Attendant Services Program empowers individuals with disabilities to hire and manage their own caregivers with support from Easterseals staff. We are looking for someone who is well-organized, has effective time management skills, and excellent customer service. Qualifications: Knowledge of case management and/or fiscal management. Must have access to a reliable vehicle to complete required travel to participant homes and other locations. Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Has experience working with individuals with disabilities. Able to effectively manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects while meeting deadlines. Knowledgeable in writing accurate, clear, and detailed case notes. Demonstrates the ability to solve problems and address concerns in a timely manner. Proficient in maintaining and updating participant records and documentation. Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and accountability in daily responsibilities. Job Duties: Enrolling, monitoring, and assisting program participants and their attendants. Support participants in recruiting and hiring their own attendants. Train the participant and attendant on the Electronic Visit Verification system. Assist participants with their attendant’s payroll issues and/or discrepancies. Meet with participant and attendant quarterly, annually, and as needed regarding program services and processes. Maintains effective communication with participants, families, providers, and team members. Collaborate with Managed Care Organizations regarding participant services and support. Preferred Qualifications : Prior experience with disabled and/or aging population Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years’ experience in healthcare administration, social services, or a related field preferred Bilingual ability in Spanish or other languages is a plus. This is a full-time, 40-hour a week position Monday- Friday 8am-4pm. There is county-wide and some statewide travel associated with this position. Must have reliable transportation.
