Overview Endocrinologist Endocrinology & Diabetes Hackensack University Medical Center Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Endocrinologist to join our dynamic team and health network. This position offers an exciting blend of in-depth patient care, opportunities for scholarly work, and involvement in medical education. The role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care while contributing to the growth and development of our endocrinology services. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of professional activities, including direct patient care, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives. Highlights: Provide continuous and comprehensive clinical care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders. Support the preoperative consultative service for patients with diabetes. Facilitate inpatient diabetes consultations for medical and surgical patients Assume a teaching role for medical students, residents, advanced practice providers and endocrinology fellows. Assist in developing patient care protocols, hospital-based policies and discharge planning to improve care optimization Collaborate with diabetes care and education specialists to improve patient education and diabetes care. Participate in the equitable 24/7/365 on-call schedule, including weeknights, weekends, holidays, and vacation coverage, in collaboration with practice physicians. Provide seven (7) 24-hour periods of unrestricted hospital call coverage every eight (8) weeks for Emergency Department and inpatient endocrinology consultations.
