Systems Engineer - Mission Integration

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer to support mission integration activities in Houston, Texas. This position will focus on development and maturation of a mission activity database / system mapping product supporting integrated mission analysis and technical planning. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong systems engineering integration background and experience bridging engineering, operations, and test environments. The selected candidate will work closely with program stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate mission and system concepts into a structured, state-based analytical product that supports integration planning, analysis, and technical review activities. ** We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Bachelor%27s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline Experience in systems engineering integration and interface management Background spanning engineering and operations/test environments Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute with limited direction Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work from incomplete or evolving information Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical teams Requisition Preferences: Experience supporting complex aerospace, flight, or mission-oriented systems Experience with test and verification , operations integration, or mission analysis activities Experience developing system logic, operational flow products, state representations, or database-driven engineering products Ability to quickly understand subsystem relationships and build technically sound mappings across a larger integrated system Experience supporting technical review products and milestone-driven engineering efforts Why Join Our Team?
