An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.  This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Shift’s Available:</strong>  Variable </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Per Diem (PD/PRN) </p>\n<p><strong>Hours:</strong> Variable </p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: </em></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical insurance benefit plan </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401K  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Sick leave accrual </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and maintain your register status for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<strong>Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  </strong> 1. Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State. 2. ARRT-R is required.3. Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations. 4. Current BCLS (AHA). 5. At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.6.
