    "description": "<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>Arrow ARC is seeking highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Lab/Electrophysiology Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric Veterans at the Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC). In this role, you will work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment where expert nursing judgment, critical care knowledge, and the ability to act quickly under pressure are essential. You will be a key clinical team member supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.</p>\n<p>This is a vital opportunity to contribute to the care of our nation's Veterans while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.</p>\n<p><strong>Shift:</strong> Full-time | Four 10-hour shifts per week (0730–1800), rotating day off.</p>\n<h2>Primary Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with physicians and the Cath Lab team to monitor, assess, and respond to patient needs in real time.</li>\n <li>Perform critical care functions such as:</li>\n <li>Insertion of peripheral IV lines</li>\n <li>Venipuncture and blood draws from central lines and swan-Ganz catheters</li>\n <li>Arterial blood draws from existing lines</li>\n <li>Hemodynamic monitoring</li>\n <li>12-lead EKG administration</li>\n <li>ACLS protocol implementation in emergency situations</li>\n <li>External pacemaker setup and support</li>\n <li>Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella (heart pump) device setup and monitoring</li>\n <li>Use of Rotoblator and CSI rotational atherectomy systems</li>\n <li>Document all care provided using CPRS, CART-CL, and WITT systems.</li>\n <li>Comply with all VA policies and procedures and follow evidence-based nursing practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).</li>\n <li>At least <strong>three (3) years of prior experience in an intensive care or critical care setting</strong>, including Cath Lab experience.</li>\n <li>Must have practiced in an ICU, Cath Lab, or equivalent high-acuity environment <strong>within the past six months</strong>.</li>\n <li>Completion of an accredited course in Intensive Care/Cath Lab Nursing.</li>\n <li>Moderate Sedation Certification or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Active certifications from the American Heart Association:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Basic Life Support (BLS)</li>\n   <li>Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>CCRN Certification</strong> (Acute/Critical Care Nursing) from the AACN Certification Corporation.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with cardiovascular assistive devices and advanced catheterization technologies.</li>\n <li>Experience providing care to COVID-19 positive patients and PUIs (Patients Under Investigation).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Aptive</h2>\n<p>Arrow ARC supports Veterans Health Administration facilities and offices across the U.S. with health care staffing and program support via the 10-year Integrated Critical Staffing Program (ICSP).
