    "description_html": "<p>Popli Design Group (PDG), a growing multi-disciplined Architecture/Engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join our team. The Project Architect will be responsible for managing the development and production of all architectural aspects of a multi-discipline project and must be capable of coordinating with other disciplines when the Project Manager is not available. This position will be responsible for leading the development and review of architectural documents prior to submission to the client and governing jurisdictions for design and code completeness.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, and all other employees.</li><li>Lead assigned architectural or multi-discipline projects and coordinate with internal or external design team members, consultants, clients, contractors and governing agencies.</li><li>Lead the preparation of complete project documentation to obtain client approvals and required local and state permits.</li><li>Understand industry / client standards and possess a strong knowledge of applicable building codes.</li><li>Collaborate with Director of Architecture and communicate all project and design team progress.</li><li>Assist the Director of Architecture in determining and coordinating internal project staffing requirements.</li><li>Select, evaluate, and implement architectural procedures and techniques to complete projects.</li><li>Coordinate, plan and organize workload assignments.</li><li>Develop redlines for implementation by assigned architecture staff.</li><li>Supervise project team to ensure work is being performed efficiently and is coordinated.</li><li>Mentor and foster the growth / development of PDG team staff with regular and focused feedback.</li><li>Ensure project deliverables meet PDG standards and that documents have been reviewed and coordinated.</li><li>Record meeting notes and create meeting minutes for issuance.</li><li>Perform construction administration tasks ensuring contractor work aligns with contract drawings and specifications.</li><li>Review / respond to RFIs, evaluate shop drawings and submittals, issue supplementary instructions or addenda.</li><li>Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and address issues.</li><li>Support the preparation of field reports and the identification and resolution of conflicts or deviations.</li><li>Support the review change order requests and assist in value engineering efforts.</li><li>Perform construction walkthroughs and verify receipt of close-out documentation.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Technical competence in architecture discipline.</li><li>Ability to mentor and develop the skills and capabilities of team staff.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and NYS Energy Software.</li><li>Strong communication skills (written and verbal).</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Experience, Education, &amp; Certifications:</strong></p><ul><li>5-year NAAB Accredited degree or equivalent education and work experience combination.</li><li>10+ Years of hands-on design and documentation experience.</li><li>Professional licensure in the State of New York (or be willing to gain reciprocity within reasonable timeframe)</li><li>Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>About Popli Design Group (PDG)</strong></p><p><br></p><p>PDG is a well-established multi-disciplinary architecture and engineering firm that has been serving clients since 1982.
