Call required</li>\n <li><strong>Work Location:</strong> UAB St Vincent's Birmingham  </li>\n <li><strong>Benefits for eligible positions only include:</strong> generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred experience required - 1 year ICU or ED experience with ventilators</p>\n<h2>What You Will Do</h2>\n<p>Provide direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards.</li>\n <li>Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions.</li>\n <li>Manage patient's pain.</li>\n <li>Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You Will Need</h2>\n<p>Licensure / Certification / Registration:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li>\n <li>Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li>\n <li>Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Education:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited Nursing program required.
