As a member of the Kansas Foster Care team, you will work with 3 other team members and report to our Placement Finding Manager.</span></p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family:Aptos,sans-serif\"><strong><u><span style=\"color:#ffc000\">WHAT YOU WILL DO:</span></u></strong></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-family:Aptos,sans-serif\">The Placement Finding Specialist receives information about youth by phone from case managers and assesses, in conjunction with the case manager, the youth&rsquo;s placement needs</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-family:Aptos,sans-serif\">Specialists then utilize available technology to conduct a search for placements that would match the youth&rsquo;s needs, discuss placement needs by phone with prospective placements and then provide placement options by phone and/or email to the youth&rsquo;s case manager </span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-family:Aptos,sans-serif\">There is a strong emphasis on placing siblings together, maintaining youth in their community and minimizing the number of placement changes youth experience while in foster care</span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-family:Aptos,sans-serif\">Referrals come in as either emergencies (placement must be found within four hours) or non-emergencies (anything beyond four hours).
